Here is a list of some of the services we provide along with a brief description of each. Your treating acupuncturist will determine which of the following may be appropriate for your condition.

Acupuncture: the insertion of very fine, sterile needles to help normalize the functions of the body. It works by a number of different of methods that can be explained by your treating acupuncturist. Acupuncture is effectively used for a wide variety of conditions.

Electroacupuncture: acupuncture with a small electrical current on the needles which is used to increase the effectiveness of acupuncture. It works especially well for pain and musculoskeletal complaints.

Manual therapies: hands on treatment such as myofascial release, massage, manual traction, joint mobilization, active or passive stretching and percussion among others. All manual therapies are done slowly without any high velocity cracking or popping.

TENS/Interferential: electrical current applied to different parts of the body via pads on the skin. There is no puncturing of the skin in these procedures. They are used to block pain signals in the nervous system and fatigue tight muscles or increase tone in flaccid muscles.

Cupping: various types of suction devices can be applied to the skin by creating a vacuum to increase circulation to the areas being treated. This can speed up the healing process for musculoskeletal issues. We use manual cupping and mechanical forms of cupping which use high tech machines that can also provide TENS/Interferential/Myofascial release at the same time.

Corrective Exercises: it is best to combine passive and active types of treatment for the most long lasting results. Our bodies are meant to move but we must move with proper joint alignment to avoid injuries. Specific corrective exercises can be prescribed after a complete physical exam to restore proper alignment and posture. This can be particularly  helpful for athletes but anyone can benefit.

Herbal Formulas: the types of herbal medicine that we practice have been effectively used for thousands of years. all of our acupuncturists have a minimum of 4 years professional training in prescribing these types of treatments. Herbal formulas can be taken internally in capsule, pill or powder form. They can also be used topically on the skin for certain conditions.
