A.J. Sarrat
A career in Complementary Medicine was an easy transition for someone with a background in Martial Arts and an interest in the Health Sciences. After studying a Pre-Med Curriculum at Indiana University, A.J. completed his education and training in Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, Nutrition, Bodywork and Exercise at Yo San University in Los Angeles.
A.J. believes that the patient is an important part of the healing process so he stresses corrective exercises and home care advice for long term prevention of disease and maintenance of good health.
A.J.’s caring personality and attentive nature help to insure a stress-free treatment, which is virtually painless. A.J. looks forward to introducing you to Traditional Chinese Medicine, which may be the perfect complementary therapy to modern medical techniques and procedures.
Besides his private practice, A.J. also treats chronic pain patients at Hemet Valley Recovery Center and Sage Retreat.
Monica Sarrat
Prior to obtaining her Master’s of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Monica was involved in the field of Nursing. This background has given her the ability to integrate both Eastern and Western treatment modalities to insure her patients receive the highest standard of care.
Monica’s passion lies in treating women’s health conditions- from menstrual disorders, infertility, and pregnancy, to menopause. She has experience treating couples using Artificial Reproductive Techniques (ART) to become pregnant, as well as working with Reproductive Endocrinologists and IVF clinics. She has also had the opportunity to train under some of the top Chinese Medicine Gynecology & Fertility specialists in the world along with doing a post-graduate certification program at Chengdu TCM University & Hospital in Chengdu, China. It was there that she saw first hand how truly Eastern & Western medicine can complement one another, especially in the field of fertiltiy. Monica is dedicated to helping men & women optimize their fertility & acheive their dreams of having healthy babies.
Monica has completed an intensive certification program in acupuncture for facial rejuvenation with Mary Elizabeth Wakefield, L.Ac., who is at the forefront of this popular anti-aging therapy. She also studied closely with experts in the field of Chinese Herbal Medicine while practicing at Santa Monica’s premier herbal pharmacy and clinic, Herb King. She is also a registered yoga instructor, with emphasis on fertility yoga & pre-natal yoga.
In her free time, Monica loves spending time with her husband, A.J. and her daughters, Maila and Zoey. She also enjoys practicing yoga, hiking, and reading.
